With media arts becoming a mandatory component of the Arts in the Australian Curriculum, and teachers challenged to keep ‘digital native’ students engaged, there has never been such a need for integrating technology into all teaching practice. Documentary Australia Foundation (DAF) has developed 1-day and 2-day training courses for educators. We will teach you how to use documentary filmmaking in your teaching practice with accessible equipment and software (smart phones and tablets).
The course is relevant across all subject areas. By the end of the course you will gain the knowledge and skills to incorporate documentaries into your lesson plans and develop lessons that apply documentary filmmakng as a method to teach across the curriculum.
