More than three years after its premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival in Canada, On the Banks of the Tigris is still touring the world. Hailed as “a narrative of hope in which music functions as a powerful act of cultural reconciliation", it continues to resonate for audiences who love music, celebrate cultural diversity, and aspire to peace.

In 2018, the film screened in music, art, anthropology, and other film festivals in Australia, North America, Italy, Spain and Nepal and won awards including "Best Cultural Heritage Film", "Audience Favorite", and "Most Inspirational". It also aired nationally on the USA cable channel Link TV.
