Agents of Change
'Agents of Change' is a revolutionary new series that follows the story of six extraordinary young people (14-18) from around the globe, as they strive to change the world.

Each of the 10 x 1 (commercial) hour episodes will place the audience right alongside our six Agents of Change, as they create, grow and implement a successful project of AWESOME.

From navigating the regular mentor challenges, to balancing the responsibilities of their old lives with the incredible demands of their new lives, this twelve-month journey will be ‘must watch’ television.

An international call out to the most inspiring and enigmatic young people will herald the start of this project. Pitch videos will be received from potential participants from all over the world in a six-week campaign to find our Agents.

Highly respected mentors such as Rania Al-Abdullah, the Queen Consort of Jordan (who is renowned for her advocacy work in education, youth affairs and micro-finance) and GURUs such as Chelsea Clinton, for example, will run the Agents through their paces and help guide them through the finer points of creating and enacting a sustainable PROJECT OF AWESOME.

Once the Agents have returned to their homes and the real world, they must then call upon everything they have learnt from their mentors, as they struggle to balance the responsibilities of their old lives with the demanding schedule of building their projects.

All six Agents will receive regular challenges - including organizing press junkets, social media campaigns, creating a fundraising event (with little notice) and more. The mentors may travel to the Agents to lend support, but ultimately, the success or failure of these projects will rest on the shoulders of our young Agents. In the final episodes, the Agents will gather together once more, to make a presentation to the United Nations regarding their social issue and their personal PROJECT OF AWESOME.

The series will capture six REAL young people attempting to do some REAL good in the world, each learning to harness their own passion, creativity, humour and determination. 'Agents of Change' is a compelling and exhilarating series that places the audience right alongside the Agents in a potent mix of relevant social issues, celebrity firepower and humanity at its best and brightest, as they strive to make the world a better place - not just for themselves, but for everyone!

How does the project meet the aims of a philanthropic foundation?

‘Agents of Change’ is a series about six real young people from around the globe as they strive to make the world a better place – not just for themselves but for everyone! The perfect embodiment of philanthropy, ‘Agents of Change’ showcases the amazing passion and determination of young people to make sustainable change in society and to tackle important social issues.

The series sits squarely within the aims of the philanthropic foundation, as it will showcase young people innovating and advocating for social justice and social change, and it will inspire audiences across age demographics to become their own ‘agent of change’.
This series creates a platform to show current and future generations that their voice can be heard and their passion and creativity can be focussed into helping humanity. It breaks down the process of social activism and allows the audience to see the achievability of the projects that the agents are carrying out. This process will motivate many viewers who had previously believed themselves unable to do such work or dream such dreams. Agents of Change will demonstrate to audiences that they are the driving force of the future.

To see REAL young activists on screen, working their hardest to achieve their best for the world will undoubtedly create a generation of social changers; a society who stand up for their rights and want to make the lives of every single person on planet Earth better.

With financial support from philanthropic foundations, we will have the ability to be the catalyst for action for this passionate generation, a generation who will utilize modern technology for the greater good. Young people who actively care about the world around them and want to make it a better place for generations to come.

Agents of Change’ features young people from every walk of life, across six countries worldwide. This has the capacity to create a worldwide audience and a universal ground swell of change.

Coupled with the Worldwide distribution rights of the Distributor, philanthropic foundations who support the series will be showcased to a worldwide audience, presenting their organization to be invested in positive and important issues around the world. To be associated with a series that inspires such social change will be incredibly beneficial for philanthropic organizations and alternatively for the producers to be seen working with such an important organization in society.

Through the financial support we can muster, we have the ability to make this series a reality. The philanthropic foundation will be the driving force behind a seismic social change, a social change that will resolve issues from around the world and inspire communities to help one another, to bring the world closer together. Philanthropic foundations looking to provide opportunities for Youth, Communities and Human Rights are the perfect candidates for ‘Agents of Change’ and are dearly needed to create this inspiring series.
Aims & Objectives

What outcomes do you hope to achieve by making this film and how will you measure its impact?

‘Agents of Change’ aspires to create a platform to show current and future generations that their voice can be heard and their passion and creativity can be focused into helping humanity. We are aiming to break down the process of social activism and allow the audience to see the achievability of the projects that the agents are carrying out. The major outcome we hope to achieve is to demonstrate to audiences that they are the driving force of the future; to motivate many viewers who had previously believed themselves unable to do such work or dream such dreams.

Our exceptional passion for the series stems from its ability to showcase the intrinsically innovative solutions that young people can come up with. One of the major outcomes we hope to achieve from the series is to bring this outside-the-box thinking by our innovative youth into the spotlight, to present it to high profile people with resources, funds and connections to make their dreams a reality. ‘Agents of Change’ aims to streamline the connection of passionate high profile individuals with the incredible ideas and initiatives of the youth of today to provide them with the support they require to achieve their goals. This outcome will be measured by the feedback and contacts made from the series and the effectiveness of our platform to make this connection visible and possible from around the world.

‘Agents of Change’ has the very real potential to be a multiple season property that covers an international market with agents that are tackling a diverse array of social issues. To measure the impact the series has towards engaging youth to follow their passions, future seasons of ‘Agents of Change’ can undertake ‘Open Call’ applications where viewers of the series can submit their own social issue ideas and initiatives and become agents for future series. This active application to be part of the series will allow us to measure the successful engagement of viewers in the show and its ability to inspire young people to realize their dreams of making a positive change in society.

What is your education and outreach strategy?

We have formed a number of extremely helpful and vital partnerships to ensure a smooth education and outreach strategy. These partnerships will aid us in casting the agents, the mentors, as well as bring a world of strategic connections to the show, allowing us to promote and present the series to their entire network of participants. Each organisation brings forward extensive access for promotion process, in particular the Laureate International University which has over one million young activist students in 28 countries around the world. Our two major partnerships are with:

Laureate International Universities are the for-profit universities and colleges owned and operated by Laureate Education, of Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. By 2014, the company owned and operated more than 80 institutions, in 30 countries, with total student enrolment of more than a million students.

The Laureate mission is: “Throughout our worldwide network of higher education institutions, we share a mission to make quality higher education accessible and affordable so more students can pursue their dreams. It’s a mission we believe will help make the world a better place.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and remain committed to making a positive, enduring impact in the communities we serve. When our students succeed, countries prosper and societies benefit.”

We have also partnered with the IYF which give us access not only to a great place to source casting for the agents and mentors but also direct contact to the most passionate and inspiring youth from around the world.

The IYF mission is: At IYF, we believe that educated, employed, and engaged young people possess the power to solve the world’s toughest problems. Over 25 years, we’ve led and sustained coordinated action to harness the talent and potential of the world’s youth, now numbering 1.2 billion. At the heart of our efforts is building partnerships, initiatives, and curricula that prepare young men and women to succeed as citizens, employees, entrepreneurs, and change-makers.

IYF envisions a world where all young people achieve their full potential and shape the future with power and confidence. YF prepares young people to be healthy, productive, and engaged citizens.

The IYF also runs a program called Youth Action Net which will be extremely valuable whilst producing this show - http://www.youthactionnet.org/.

Combining these partnerships with our own ‘Agents of Change’ website, we will create a social hub of budding entrepreneurs from around the world. Linking our digital outreach extension with the above partners network, we will be able to maximise our education and outreach strategy capacity and create an online community of social activists.
