Ros Horin, director, dramaturg and writer has been an important figure in Australian theatre. As the Artistic Director of Sydney’s Griffin Theatre Company for 12 years she established the company’s national reputation as the home of high quality, bold contemporary Australian theatre. Her directing career spans three decades, during which time she has directed productions for nearly all of the major Australian theatre companies as well as directing and producing her own theatre projects including the award winning play Through the Wire about the refugee experience in Australian detention centres.

The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe played four separate packed out seasons in Sydney, toured To London and Nottingham, and returned for a further season at the Sydney Opera house. Ros has now established her own Film company REFLEX Productions Ltd and has produced and directed her first documentary film “The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe”.
